GynoCurious - available on all major podcast platforms

Welcome to GynoCurious, Listeners. I am Dr. Amy Novatt, your host and a board-certified OB-GYN.
With each program, informed by my three decades of experience, I’ll share not only the science that guides our practices, but also the stories that women (cis, trans and nonbinary) share as they seek best practices in health and wellness. I like to think of this as the vantage point “from both sides of the speculum,” as we will be investigating what it means to be both a healer, and to be healed.
This is not a cut-and-dried medical show that advises women on how much estrogen to take, or the scientific methods used to evaluate data in a lab or on a microscope slide, but rather, a conversation about the larger lens that medical professionals look through as they work with patients, and conversely, how patients experience the world of OB-GYN medicine.
For some listeners, the show is akin to accessing a club or society where an almost secret language is spoken – these topics have been roundly taboo outside of normal discussions, even among good friends or family members. For others, the show is a continuum of conversations that women are having with each other in their communities.
GynoCurious will address our fears, sexual explorations, and aging adventures with respect, curiosity, and science. For me, knowledge and awareness bring awe, authority and autonomy and I think of this podcast as the perfect platform in which I can share this with the world.
